This Herzegovinian town is located in the immediate vicinity of Dubrovnik, approximately 15 kilometers away from Dubrovnik's beaches, at an altitude of 270m. It is approximately 30 kilometers away from the first beaches in Montenegro. The river Trebišnjica flows through the city, and above the city is the mountain Leotar.
